January 18 (SeeNews) - The indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange rose slightly for a second session in a row on Friday, despite a drop in bank shares, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most traded and capitalised companies listed on the Sofia bourse, edged up 0.05% to 567.05 points, adding to Thursday's rise of 0.58% on gains in drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR].
Sopharma rose 0.30% to 3.34 levs ($1.94/1.71 euro) in a volume of 810 shares on Friday.
On the losers' side, Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF] and First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] led the pack.
CCB fell 1.97% to 1.245 levs, as 13,228 shares changed hands, while Fibank closed 0.63% lower at 3.15 levs in a turnover of 1,750 shares.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, closed 0.13% higher at 111.75 points, after climbing 0.42% on Thursday.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts listed on both the regulated market and the BaSE Alternative Market of the Sofia bourse, closed at 120.21 points, as compared to 119.96 point on Thursday.
