November 29 (SeeNews) - The indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) started the week mixed amid a jump in total turnover, bourse data showed on Monday.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market doubled to 7.2 million levs ($4.1 million/3.7 million euro) on Monday from 3.6 million levs on Friday.
Nearly 4.7 million levs of Monday's turnover was generated by trade in bonds.
The most traded company on Monday was Toplofikatsia-Burgas [BUL:TPLB], the heating utility serving the coastal city of Burgas. As many as 495,500 shares in the company traded flat at an average price of 1.5100 levs, contributing some 748,200 levs to the total turnover.
The blue-chip SOFIX index went up 0.61% to 622.22 points, supported by a 5.83% rise in the shares of financial and energy group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG].
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, added 0.16% to 139.78 points, positively influenced by Eurohold's gains. As many as 2,250 shares in Eurohold changed hands at an average price of 2.1702 levs on the floor of the Sofia bourse on Monday.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged down 0.03% to 669.39 points, dragged down by a 3.02% drop in the shares of Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was unchanged on Monday, at 165.81 points.
