November 29 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) [BUL:BSE], the operator of the Sofia bourse, said on Monday that its consolidated net profit rose to 5.5 million levs ($3.2 million/2.8 million euro) in the January-September period of 2021 from some 3.7 million levs a year earlier.
The BSE's consolidated revenue grew to 11.9 million levs in the first three quarters of 2021 from 9 million levs in the comparable period of 2020, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Expenses increased to 5.7 million levs in the review period from 4.9 million levs in the first nine months of last year, mostly due to a rise in expenses for hired services.
As at 10:20 CET on Monday, shares in BSE traded 0.56% higher at 8.90 levs on the Sofia bourse.
