May 16 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSO], which operates Bulgaria's sole stock exchange, said that it is proposing to its shareholders to distribute a gross dividend of 0.03155 levs ($0.018/0.016 euro) per share for 2018.
The company distributed a gross dividend of 0.0157 levs per share for 2017.
Under the proposal, Bulgarian Stock Exchange will distribute 50% of its net profit for the year, or 207,663 levs, as dividend, the stock exchange operator said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company's shareholders will vote on the proposal at a general meeting scheduled for June 18.
As at 9:15 CET on Thursday, Bulgarian Stock Exchange shares traded 6.67% lower at 4.76 levs.
The stock exchange operator ended 2018 with a net profit of some 415,000 levs, up from 206,000 levs in 2017.
The Bulgarian Stock Exchange is also the sole owner of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX).
