October 19 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in red territory on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX slipping by 0.05% to 579.58 points.
The top SOFIX loser was software developer Sirma Group [BUL:SGH] which fell by 3.33% to 0.73 levs with 27,250 shares traded.
On Tuesday, its subsidiary Sciant said it has acquired Albanian IT company ReSolutions.
SOFIX was additionally pushed down by IoT products maker Allterco [BUL:A4L], which lost 2.95% to 16.45 levs.
The losses in Allterco and Sirma weighed on the BGTR30 index, under which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The index closed 0.06% lower at 699.7 points.
In contrast, the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, inched up by 0.04% to 134.25. Its performance was buoyed by venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] which jumped by 5.78% to 18.30. Additionally, poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] rose by 5.38% to 1.37 levs.
The two companies more than offset losses in steel radiator manufacturer Korado Bulgaria [BUL:KBG]. Korado dropped by 6.92% to 6.05 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, decreased by 0.14% to 178.05 points. The only loser in the index was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which slipped by 0.7% to 2.83 levs.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market soared to 4.62 million ($2.31 million/2.36 million euro) levs on Wednesday from 307,555 levs on Tuesday.
The most traded stock on the day was Tchaikapharma High Quality Medicines [BUL:THQM], which generated turnover of 4 million levs with 256,411 shares traded. The stock closed flat at 15.60 levs.
