January 14 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, broke its closing value record for a second consecutive day, bourse data shows.
The BGREIT gained 0.34% to an all-time high closing value of 138.78 points on Thursday, breaking its Wednesday record of 138.31 points.
The BGREIT index was supported by Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6], which gained 1.62% on Thursday.
This is the fifth time the BGREIT breaks its record-high since the start of 2021.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.58% to 457.40 points on Thursday, backed by a 3.59% rise in the share price of construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57]. Other notable gainers included software group Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] and drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR], which added 2.70% and 1.91%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.46% to 103.50 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, grew 0.44% to 509.51 points.
Total daily regulated market turnover was much higher than usual, and amounted to 7.2 million levs. Turnover was boosted by deals in bonds worth 6.6 million levs.
