SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 4 (SeeNews) -The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, set a new all time high of 130.79 points following a 1.56% rise on Wednesday.
The BGREIT set its previous high of 130.47 points on November 18.
The index was boosted by a 29.17% jump in the share price of Aktiv Properties REIT [BUL:5AX] on Wednesday. Aktiv Properties REIT was among the most traded stocks during the trading session, as 36 deals with the shares formed a turnover of some 737,000 levs.
Total daily regulated market turnover amounted to some 1.8 million levs.
Unlike the BGREIT, the blue-chip SOFIX index ended the session 0.12% lower at 543.56 points, hurt by a 5.03% decrease in the share price of diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2].
Other notable decliners among SOFIX members were First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] and car battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB], which lost 1.37% and 0.80%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, edged up 0.02% to 108.28 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.20% to 494.26 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, dropped 0.59% to 128.78 points.
