January 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's opposition Socialist Party said it will sumbit on Wednesday a motion of no-confidence in the government coalition, consisting of conservative GERB party and nationalist alliance United Patriots.
The motives for the no-confidence vote are the inability and unwillingness of the government to fight corruption and the grey economy, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) said on its official Facebook page.
Details on those motives and additional reasons for the motion of no-confidence will be disclosed during the parliamentary discussions, the party said.
"We have enough evidense of corruption in the healthcare and security sectors," Socialist party member Slavcho Velkov is quoted as saying.
The no-confidence vote is not expected to pass as the ruling coalition holds 122 out of 240 seats in parliament. BSP holds 80 seats.
This is the first no-confidence vote against Bulgaria's current government, which was formed after early elections held in March last year.
