October 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's competition regulator said that it launched proceedings on Friday in relation to a complaint filed by Germany's Siemens Mobility regarding Bulgarian state-owned BDZ Passengers' 675 million levs ($393.7 million/345.1 million euro) tender for supply of 42 passenger railcars.
The complaint was filed on Monday, according to data from the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC).
No further details were provided by the regulator.
On October 5, China's CRRC Qingdao Sifang filed a complaint with the CPC over clarifications provided by BDZ Passengers in relation to the terms of the tender.
BDZ Passengers launched the tender in mid-August and set October 12 as deadline for submitting offers. The contract envisages supply of 42 passenger railcars and technical support for a period of 15 years.
