Bulgarian parl raises new debt ceiling for 2022 to 5.3 bln euro in budget revision bill

July 1 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian parliament said it raised the limit on issuing new government debt in 2022 to 10.3 billion levs ($5.51 billion/5.27 billion euro) in a revision of this year's budget from originally planned 7.3 billion levs.

The MPs also decided to raise the budget revenue target by 760 million levs to some 34.1 billion levs, while expenditures will rise to about 21.2 billion levs from 20.4 billion levs proposed by the government, the parliament said in a press release after the vote on second and final reading on Thursday evening.
