July 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian medical equipment manufacturer BTL Industries said on Thursday that it will break ground for a 20 million levs ($12.1 million/10.2 million euro) plant in the country's second-largest city Plovdiv on July 7.
The construction of the plant is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023, the company said in a statement.
The new facility will spread on 25,000 sq m, BTL Industries said.
Most of its output will be exported to over 110 countries.
BTL Industries intends to build automated warehouses, robotic distribution systems and a solar park on the site of the plant.
In 2019, BTL Industries said the planned plant would employ 500.
Currently, BTL Industries operates a production base in Plovdiv and a research and development centre in Sofia.
The company exports its output to over 120 countries.
