February 27 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian online job search start-up nPloy is launching its operations on the Romanian market, it told SeeNews.
The market launch comes after nPloy received a 2 million euro ($2.11 million) investment in 2022, the company told SeeNews in an emailed statement on Friday.
"With a fast-growing economy and an internationally recognized skilled workforce, Romania has long been a market of interest to us and we are excited to finally have the chance to make the technological advancement available here," nPloy's co-founder Konstantin Tsonev said.
Tsonev added that he believes the platform will be valuable to Romanian companies that want to expand operations and remain competitive.
In August, nPloy, which is owned by New Highers JSC, announced that it had raised 2 million euro in a seed funding round, which would aid the company's strategy to focus on geographical growth, targeting a presence in ten new markets by end-2023.
nPloy is an app that connects job seekers and employers based on the dating app model, ensuring anonymity until a connection is made. The platform currently has over 125,000 users and 1,000 companies, with plans to add 150,000 new users in 2023, according to a LinkedIn post.
