SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 6 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian insurance firm Sredetz-Zastrahovatelen Broker plans to start providing insurance mediation services in 11 EU member states, the Bulgarian financial regulator said.
Sredetz-Zastrahovatelen Broker plans to provide insurance mediation services in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus, the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) said in a statement on Thursday.
FCS will notify the competent authorities in the eleven EU member states of Sredetz-Zastrahovatelen Broker’s intentions.
For activities passportable under EU's single market directives, no outright regulatory nod is needed when an EU-registered firm wishes to establish presence in another member state. The move is subject only to notification to the relevant regulator.
