March 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian supermarket chain Fantastico increased its sales by an annual 11-12% in the January 1 - March 23 period and its stores are fully stocked except for disinfectants, local media reported.
The company will carry on with its planned opening of a new store in the town of Bankya, just outside Sofia, in June, and one in the town of Pernik in early 2021, Fantastico's executive director Svetoslav Gavrilov told local business news outlet Capital.bg in an interview published on Wednesday.
Fantastico is investing over 55 million levs ($30.8 million/28.1 million euro) in its recently-opened store in Sofia, the planned new openings, and the overhaul of its store in SkyCity Mall.
The company is not planning to cut any jobs in relation to the ongoing coronavirus disease pandemic, Gavrilov said.
Fantastico currently operates 42 stores, employing over 3,000 people.
