March 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's energy regulator said on Thursday it has approved a 23.02% reduction in the regulated wholesale gas prices for the second quarter of the year.
Earlier in March, state-owned gas monopoly Bulgargaz proposed the same rate of reduction of the price at which it sells natural gas to its clients to 312.21 levs ($177.1/159.4 euro) per 1,000 cu m.
Bulgaria imports almost all the natural gas it needs from Russia's Gazprom through a pipeline crossing the territories of Ukraine, Moldova and Romania.
