July 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian edible oil maker Oliva said that its net profit soared to 16.9 million levs ($9.8 million/8.6 million euro) in 2018 from 4.9 million levs the year before, backed by higher revenue.
Oliva booked sales of 534.5 million levs in 2018, up from 419.3 million levs the year before, the company said in an annual financial statement.
Other operating revenue grew to 8.2 million levs from 3.8 million levs.
Cost of goods sold rose to 163.4 million levs last year from 137.1 million levs in 2017, while expenses for materials increased to 311.0 million levs from 229.2 million levs.
Expenses for hired services grew to 14.3 million levs from 8.1 million levs.
Oliva's assets amounted to 360.6 million levs at the end of 2018, up from 251.4 million levs a year earlier.
