November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] said on Tuesday its consolidated net profit rose 35.3% on the year in the first nine months, reaching 33 million levs ($17.9 million/16.9 million euro).
The company's operating revenues fell by an annual 1.4% to 638.4 million levs in January-September, Sopharma said in a bourse filing. Operating profit rose 7.6% to 31.9 million levs.
At the same time, Sopharma's financial revenues plunged 60% on the year to 4.7 million levs, while financial expenses fell 14% to 9.9 million levs.
Sopharma operates 15 pharmaceutical plants in Bulgaria, two in Serbia, and one in Ukraine and owns also a distribution firm. It sells approximately 70% of its production on the domestic market and exports 28% to Europe.
