October 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's anti-trust watchdog said on Tuesday it fined Bulgaria's largest manufacturer of paint and varnish, Orgachim, for “attracting customers by unfair practices”.
The Commission for Protection of Competition said in a statement it imposed a 35,000 levs ($25,000/18,000 euro) fine on Orgachim because the value of prizes offered by the company in sales promotion campaign launched in July exceeds the limits set by BUlgarian legislation.
Orgachim can appeal the decision with the country's Supreme Administrative Court.
Shares in Orgachim, part of blue-chip SOFIX index of Sofia bourse, closed 1.9% higher at 815 levs on Tuesday.
