December 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian financial and industrial group AKB Fores will invest a combined 23 million euro ($33.1 million) to build three cogeneration units, local daily Pari said on Friday.
The cogeneration units at Polimeri Devny, paper mill Kostenets HHI and the heating utility of Kazanluk are scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2008, the paper reported. It gave no details about the planned investment in each unit or its capacity.
Company officials were not immediately available to comment.
The three companies will also switch their current cogeneration units from fuel oil to natural gas.
Former privatisation fund AKB Fores, set up in 1994, acquired stakes in more than 120 enterprises in various sectors during Bulgaria's mass privatisation process.
