October 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government said on Wednesday that it has transferred all rights and obligations under a 35-year coal mining concession contract for the Minyor section of Bobov Dol coalfield to Sliven-based Trash Energy.
The concession rights and obligations were transferred upon the request of their current holder - Bobov Dol-registered company Fundamental, the government said in a statement following its weekly meeting.
Fundamental signed the 35-year concession contract in 2005.
Trash Energy, which has a registered capital of 2 levs ($1.2/1.0 euro), is a wholly-owned unit of U.K.- registered Albertola Ltd, according to data from Bulgaria's commercial register. According to data from the British commercial register, Albertola Ltd. specialises in telecommunications activities.
Fundamental is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgaria's Bultsvet, which in turn is fully owned by private individual Miglena Petreshki.
Bobov Dol coalfield is the largest deposit of brown coal in Bulgaria.
