January 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on Friday that it is speeding up a 7.2 million levs ($3.99 million/3.68 million euro) bridge construction project that will be implemented by a consortium of local civil engineering companies Groma Hold and Patproekt.
The project covers the construction of a new bridge over the Struma River near the town of Blagoevgrad in southwestern Bulgaria, the agency said in a statement.
To speed up the start of the construction works, the parties will apply for a partial building permit, which could be issued in 40 days, RIA said.
The term of the execution of the contract is 300 days from the permit issue.
The consortium of Groma and Patproekt won a tender to construct the bridge in 2022.
