February 27 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian government decided to send humanitarian and military logistical aid to Ukraine after Russia launched a military invasion of that country earlier this week, it said on Sunday.
"The develoments of the past days when peaceful Ukraine was unjustifiably attacked by [Russian president Vladimir] Putin prompted concern and compassion for the Ukrainian people. That is why the Bulgarian government adopted a decision to send humanitarian and military logistical aid to Ukraine," the government said in a statement.
By doing so, Bulgaria joins 25 donor states from the EU and NATO, it added.
Earlier on Sunday, Romania's government said that it will send fuel, ammunition and food worth 3 million euro ($3.4 million) to Ukraine.
