January 5 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria is due to receive all eight Su-25 fighter jets it sent for repairs at Belarus-based Aircraft Repair Plant 558 by the end of February, local media reported on Tuesday.
Part of the jets repaired under the 82.5 million levs ($51.8 million/42.2 million euro) contract have already been delivered, local news outlet Mediapool reported.
Bulgaria could opt to repair six more Su-25 jets or just their engines but the financial parameters of such an agreement are still unknown, according to the report.
Bulgaria signed the agreement for ensuring the airworthiness of eight Su-25 fighter-bombers and 16 R-95Sh jet engines in January 2019.
