May 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria expects to harvest close to 5.0 million tonnes of wheat in 2020, agriculture minister Desislava Taneva said on Friday.
This year, Bulgaria will maintain its position as a big net exporter of wheat regardless of the unfavourable agrometeorological conditions, Taneva said in a statement published on the website of the agriculture ministry.

In 2019, Bulgaria harvested approximately 6.2 million tonnes of wheat, einkorn and spelt, according to preliminary data published by the ministry at the end of March.
