The projects must ensure primary energy savings of at least 30% for each unit and the implementation of energy saving measures at buildings in the commercial or services sectors that contribute to achieving a minimum energy consumption class of "B". Grants will range between 100,000 levs and 1.5 million levs per project, depending on business size, and will cover potential recommended measures for the use of energy for renewable sources. Investment projects submitted for approval must have a maximum length of 24 months, with a completion date no later than June 30, 2026.
The financing is provided under a grant procedure launched by the innovation ministry last week and funded under Bulgaria's Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). The procedure is aimed at energy efficiency projects for industrial buildings in the broader manufacturing, commercial and services sectors.
