March 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria will extend part of the restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19, which the government introduced for an initial 10-day period expiring on April 1, local media reported on Tuesday.
Shopping malls and non-food retail outlets of over 300 sq m will remain closed until further notice, while kindergartens and schools are expected to reopen on April 5 and April 12, respectively, Focus news agency quoted health minister Kostadin Angelov as saying.
Theaters will reopen at 30% capacity as of April 1, while restaurants will likely be allowed to work only if they have outdoor seating.
Bulgaria's health ministry reported 4,497 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 333,250, of which 67,864 still active.
