September 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's caretaker government said that it decided to buy 10,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines global business unit of French drug maker Sanofi, and Belgium-based medical products manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, for an undisclosed price.
The Sanofi-GSK vaccine is a single-dose antigen vaccine, which at this stage is not expected to be used for primary immunisation.
"It is an alternative to vaccination in people with contraindications to other types of vaccines," the government said in a statement.
Bulgaria expects to get the Sanofi-GSK vaccine doses in the first half of 2022, according to the statement.
