November 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency said on Thursday that it has signed an 11.6 million levs ($6.6 million/5.9 million euro) deal with a tie-up of ten local companies for the design of three sections of Hemus motorway.
The tie-up comprises local Tri Es, PS Consult, Traffic Control, NR Consult, Plan Invest Plovdiv, Contpas, Arnaudov Consult, Bul Invest Control, Stroy Tech Nadzor and Transconsult-BG, the government agency said in a notice.
The contract was signed on November 15.
The public procurement procedure for awarding the contract attracted two offers.
In December 2018, Bulgaria's government said it has decided to provide some 1.35 billion levs to Avtomagistrali for construction of 134.2 kilometres of Hemus motorway from Boaza road junction some 100 km. east of Sofia to the city of Veliko Tarnovo, in central-northern Bulgaria.
The 420-km long Hemus motorway would link Sofia to Varna, on the Black Sea coast. A total of 170 km of the motorway have already been built.
