April 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's health ministry said that it has signed a 93.4 million levs ($51.8 million/47.8 million euro) contract for construction of a new children's hospital with a local tie-up.
The contractor has one year to draft and present its project for the new hospital, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The tie-up comprises local Glavbolgarstroy, Glavbolgarstroy International and GBS-Plovdiv, according the documents published previously by the ministry.
The ministry picked the tie-up as winner of the tender for design and construction of the hospital in January, but its decision was challenged before the Commission for Protection of Competition. Subsequently, the regulator allowed the contract to be signed before it issues its final decision on the complaint.
