November 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's health ministry said on Monday that it has signed two contracts worth a total of 38.3 million levs ($22.4 million/19.6 million euro) with Sofia France Auto for supply of 280 ambulances.
The first ambulances under the two contracts will be supplied within 60 days, the ministry said in a statement.

The remaining part will be supplied within three years. Deliveries must be made within 120 days after the ministry makes a request.
The ambulances have a 5-year warranty period.
Sofia France Auto won the two contract in a public procurement procedure, which attracted seven offers. The other candidates were local Automotor Corporation, Omnicar Auto, Ilina Car Company, Auto France 3000, Auto Italy and Moto-Pfohe.
The health ministry is also currently awaiting offers for contracts for supply of 120 type B emergency ambulances, worth an estimated 15.6 million levs.
The tenders are part of a large-scale project for modernisation of emergency medical services in the country.
