January 5 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria recorded the EU's highest monthly decline in the industrial producer price index (PPI) in November, of 12.6%, compared with an average EU-wide decrease of 0.9%, Eurostat said on Thursday.
By contrast, the EU's largest monthly increase in industrial PPI was seen in Italy, Sweden and Ireland - 3.3%, 2.7% and 2.4%, respectively, the EU's statistical office said in a statement.
In annual terms, Romania recorded the third-highest increase in industrial producer prices in the EU in November, of 44.8%, preceded only by Hungary and Latvia, with 63.5% and 51.2%, respectively.
With a yearly PPI growth of 23.2% in November, Slovenia ranked the lowest out of the five EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), while Bulgaria came in slightly below the EU average of 27.4%, at 25.3%.
