SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 12 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria estimates the costs for the Black Sea motorway at between 500 million levs and 600 million levs ($343.5 million/255.7 million euro-$412 million/307 million euro), the regional development minister was quoted as saying by local media on Tuesday.
The country has to choose among three designs for the 100-kilometre motorway, Desislava Terzieva was quoted as saying at a conference by Capital Daily.
Bulgaria plans to finance the motorway in partnership with private investors, minister Terzieva pointed out. An unnamed Chinese investor has already shown interest in the Black Sea motorway project, the newspaper said.
According to Capital Daily, the unnamed investor might be EximBank, the Export-Import Bank of China.
The Black Sea motorway will connect the Hemus and Trakiya motorways.
