March 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria recorded the highest annual inflation among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) in February, at 13.7%, Eurostat said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania registered the steepest increase in consumer prices among EU members in SEE last month, at 1%, above the EU average of 0.8%, the bloc's statistical office said in a data release.
In comparison, Greece marked the lowest monthly rise in consumer prices in the region, at 0.2%.
At 6.5%, Greece also posted the lowest annual inflation rate among EU states in SEE in February, against a bloc average of 9.9%.
