September 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Monday that it has opened a 103 million levs ($62 million/53 million euro) tender for building a 400 kV overhead transmission line between Varna and Burgas power substations, on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast.
The tender is divided into three lots, each envisaging construction of a section of the power line, which totals 90.2 kilometres in length, ESO said in a tender notice.
The deadline for submitting offers is October 26.
Bids will be ranked solely based on price.
The contracts will be partially financed with EU funds under the Connecting Europe Facility.
The tender is part of a larger EU-backed project, envisaging construction of a 110-kilometer AC 400 kV single-circuit interconnector between Dobrudzha and Burgas substations.
