- The government in Sofia will propose supplementary health insurance in private funds to become compulsory as of 2011 as part of the ongoing reform of the country's healthcare sector, Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov said.

- The Bulgarian Association of Dairy Processors will seek financing from the European Commission to promote Bulgarian cheese in Spain and Germany under a 3.5 million euro project, the Association's executive director Dilyana Slavova said.

- Bulgaria will be ready with a revised environmental assessment of its long-delayed Trakia motorway in December, Regional Development Minister Rosen Plevneliev said. The builder of the motorway is expected to be selected in February.

- Bulgaria's Energy Ministry is preparing a tender for the construction of a fourth coal-fired power plant at the Maritsa East energy complex, Energy Minister Traycho Traykov said. The plant will use new carbon capture and storage technology.
