December 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Metropolitan, the operator of the Sofia subway, said it has launched a 2.4 million levs ($1.44 million/1.22 million euro) tender for the design of a detour from the third subway line which is now under construction.
The planned section, which will link the city's central parts with the eastern Slatina district, will have six subway stations and a total length of 5.6 km, the company said in a notice filed with the public procurement agency.
Deadline for submitting offers is January 15, 2018.
The Sofia subway has two lines with a total length of 40 km and 35 stations. The third line will connect the city's southewstern and northeastern districts.
