SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 24 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria has launched a logistics centre and an eCommerce shop in the city of Plovdiv aimed at promoting commercial exchange with China, the agriculture ministry in Sofia said on Friday.
The logistics centre and the eCommerce shop are the first of their kind in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), established under the 16+1 cooperation mechanism between China and 16 countries in the CEE region, the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.
They will both promote trade with China by providing a place to exhibit and sell products along with a full package of transport and other logistics services, the ministry added.
The 16+1 format is an initiative by China aimed at intensifying and expanding cooperation with 16 CEE countries, of which 11 EU member states and five Balkan countries, in the fields of investments, transport, finance, science, education and culture.
