December 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on Monday it has started the overhaul of a five-kilometre stretch of a larger road section of the first-class Plovdiv-Pazardzhik road, which will be upgraded for an estimated 18 million levs ($10.2 million/9.2 million euro).
By the end of 2019 and during 2020 RIA will carry out works on the revamp of the entire 15 km road section, which makes part of one of the busiest roads in the Pazardzhik region, the agency said.
Works on the project include laying down on geogrids and new pavement as well as the upgrade of road drainage systems.
