SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 19 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian state-owned company Strategic Infrastructure Projects has invited bids for the preparation of a preliminary design of a section of the local Struma motorway, a notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated on Monday.
The design services project, with an indicative cost of 5.0 million levs ($3.3 million/2.6 million euro), Value Added Tax excluded, is planned to be completed in 18 months, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) said.
Bids have to be submitted by January 18 and are planned to be opened on January 29.
The 64 kilometer (km) motorway section runs betweens the towns of Blagoevgrad and Sandanski.
The Struma motorway, which links Sofia with the Greek border, has a total length of 173.28 km and it is part of pan-European transport Corridor IV.
