August 6 (SeeNews) - NATO member Bulgaria has sent requests for proposals to four manufacturers for delivery of 150 armoured vehicles for its army in a 1.46 billion levs ($838 million/746 million euro) tender, VAT included, the defence ministry said on Tuesday.
Bulgaria is seeking offers from Germany's Artec, France's Nexter Group, Finland's Patria and Switzerland's General Dynamics Land Systems – MOWAG, the ministry said in a statement.
The requests for proposals were sent on Monday. The deadline for submitting proposals is October 31.
An interdepartmental working group will assess the received offers and pick a winner by December 20.
The project and its financing were endorsed by Bulgaria's government and parliament in mid-2018.
