August 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria has harvested 5.14 million tonnes of wheat from this year's crop as of July 27 - 0.7% less than a year earlier, the agriculture ministry said.
Wheat was collected from 977,161 hectares, or 89% of the total area sown with wheat, by July 27, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The harvested area was 9.8% lower compared to the year-ago figure.
Bulgaria has also harvested 614,635 tonnes of barley from 128,970 hectares as of July 27.
The harvested area was 99% of the total barley-sown area, while the collected volume was 14.1% lower than a year earlier.
