February 23 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian government said it decided to extend until March 31 a programme for humanitarian assistance to displaced persons from Ukraine granted temporary protection in Bulgaria.
The programme will continue under the current conditions, the government said in a statement on Wednesday.
The programme which envisages humanitarian aid in the amount of 15 levs ($8.13/7.67 euro) per overnight stay was previously extended in November to February 24.
The government said earlier in February that it will pay 2.81 million levs under the programme to cover the costs of hotel operators and other persons who accommodated refugees between November 1 and November 15. An additional payment of 6.39 million levs will be made for the period between November 16 and December 31.
