February 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's ministry of finance said that the country's consolidated budget showed a surplus of 137 million levs ($80.2 million/70.0 million euro) in 2018, equivalent to 0.1% of the projected 2018 gross domestic product (GDP).
Bulgaria's 2018 budget targeted a deficit equivalent to 1.0% of the projected GDP.
Consolidated budget revenues amounted to 39.65 billion levs in 2018, 3.7% higher that the full-year plan, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
Consolidated budget expenditures were 0.5% higher than planned and totalled 39.51 billion levs last year.
In a separate statement the finance ministry said that it expects a budged surplus of 1.1 billion levs in January, equivalent to 0.9% of the projected 2019 GDP.
Bulgaria's budget targets a deficit equivalent to 0.5% of the projected GDP this year.
