September 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria has completed the construction of Rudozem-Xanthi crossing at the country's border with Greece, the regional development ministry said.
The deadline for the commissioning of the newly built border checkpoint is December 31, caretaker regional development minister Violeta Komitova said in a statement last week.
The 14.5 million levs ($8.7 million/7.4 million euro) tender for the construction of Rudozem-Xanthi border crossing and related road infrastructure was launched in May 2018. The project is financed under Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
