November 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency said that it has launched a tender worth an estimated 3.49 million levs ($1.77 million/1.78 million euro) for the technical design of road overhaul in the northwestern region of Vratsa.
The planned roadworks cover 137 km of national roads which take heavy truck traffic to Danube Bridge 2, the ferry to Romania at Oryahovo and the Danube ports of Lom, Kosloduy and Oryahovo, the government agency said in a press release on Monday.
The tender is divided into four lots. The first one covers the technical design for the overhaul of 15 km of road on the Vratsa city bypass with an an indicative value of 299,920 levs. The second lot relates to road sections of 34 km in total at a value of 1.51 million levs. The third lot, whose value is 1.56 million levs, covers a 78 km section of the Vratsa-Oryahovo secondary road. Lastly, the fourth lot, worth 132,300 levs, involves works on a 6.6-kilometre section of a tertiary road linking Vratsa city to the Iskar gorge.
Bids can be submitted until December 5, the road agency said.
