June 24 (SeeNews) - Public gas supplier Bulgargaz proposed to Bulgaria's Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) to approve a wholesale gas price of 46.88 levs ($28.61/23.97 euro) per MWh, to be valid in the month of July, the energy regulator said on Thursday.
The price applicable in June is 45.27 levs per MWh.
EWRC will decide whether to approve the proposal at a meeting scheduled for July 1, the energy regulator said in a statement.
Earlier this month, Bulgargaz said it was planning to propose a wholesale gas price of 48.42 levs per MWh, to be valid in August.
Bulgarian energy regulations require Bulgargaz to set the gas price monthly. EWRC has the final say on the proposed changes in the wholesale price, at which the state-owned company sells natural gas to end-suppliers and customers directly connected to its transmission network.
