November 12 (SeeNews) - Public natural gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed to Bulgaria's energy regulator to approve an increase of 3.2% in the wholesale gas price, to be valid for the month of December, the regulator said.
The proposed increase will take the price to 96.14 levs ($56.27/49.16 euro) per MWh, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) said, citing a statement submitted by Bulgargaz.
The wholesale price of natural gas applicable in November is 93.19 levs per MWh.
Earlier this week, Bulgargaz said it was planning to propose to EWRC a wholesale gas price of 93.13 levs per MWh, to be valid for January 2022.
Bulgarian energy regulations require Bulgargaz to set the gas price monthly. The EWRC has the final say on the proposed changes in the wholesale price at which the state-owned company sells natural gas to end-suppliers and customers directly connected to its transmission network.
