April 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia in February rose by an annual 21.3% to 752, after increasing 66.6% a month earlier, the statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 22% on the year in February, reaching 611, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works rose 18.5% to 141, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in February reached 2.6 billion kuna ($372 million/349.6 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in February, 521 were for new construction, while 231 were related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in February, 1,095 dwellings were planned, up 56.9% year-on-year.
