October 3 (SeeNews) - Romanian stock indices rose on Monday amid lower turnover, bourse data indicated.
The bourse's total equity turnover fell to 5.99 million lei ($1.5 million /1.3 million euro) from 31.5 million lei on Friday.
On Friday, the capital market of Romania has been put by FTSE Russell on the list of countries that have a substantial potential to be upgraded to the status of the Emerging Market in short or medium term perspective.
In regular trading, blue-chip gas pipeline operator Transgaz [BSE:TGN] closed 0.33% lower to 305 lei in Monday's largest turnover of 1.38 million lei.
Blue-chip natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE: SNG] rose 1.08% to 23.5 lei in the day's second-largest turnover of 2.6 million lei.
Blue-chip investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] lost 0.12% to 0.8020 lei in the day's third-largest turnover of 698,942 lei.
