December 9 (SeeNews) - Romanian stock indices mostly rose on Friday as turnover fell sharply, bourse data indicated.
The total equity turnover of the BVB fell to 9.3 million lei ($2.2 million /2 million euro) from 25.9 million lei on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Romanian privately-owned medical services provider MedLife has launched an initial public offering (IPO) on the Bucharest bourse, BVB, hoping to raise up to 308 million lei through the sale of a 44% stake.
In regular trading, blue-chip natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE:SNG] stood to 24.2 lei in Friday's largest turnover of 3.69 million lei.
Blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE: TLV] rose 0.64% to 23750 lei in the day's second largest turnover of 1.7 million lei.
Blue-chip lender BRD Societe Generale [BSE:BRD] gained 0.91% to 11.12 lei in the day's third-largest turnover of 843,445 lei.
